ABOUT THE ARTIST

 

Lauren Fogg is an oil painter focusing on nonrepresentational landscapes. Her work has been shown in Memphis, Miami, and Pensacola including having a painting hanging over the mantelpiece of Frank Lloyd Wright's Emil Bach House in Chicago. She has been commissioned for a 120” × 55” painting for the University of West Florida’s Psychology Building entitled “It’s Quiet in Montana,” as well as works for her personal collectors in Northwest Florida, New York, Toronto, Chicago, Washington D.C., San Antonio, and Memphis. Lauren was born in Idaho and spent her early childhood in Wiesbaden, Germany. She earned her B.F.A from the University of West Florida in 2009 and currently resides in Memphis, where she has had multiple solo exhibitions in the South Main Art’s District. After placing in the 1st Annual Juried Painting Show, Lauren was represented by the Art Place Wynwood’s Gallery in Miami and has been featured in multiple shows, including Visual Dialogue during Art Basel Week 2012.
